CONTRIBUTE
Your contributions to The Green Institute directly support economic opportunity and environmental stewardship in our communities. There are several ways to contribute to The Green Institute:

On-line contribution
The Green Institute now accepts donations on-line through Network for Good. The program is easier than writing a check, and is secure, meeting the BBB Wise Giving Alliance Standards for charity accountability. Since its inception more than 450,000 donors have contributed more than $175 million dollars using the Network for Good giving system.
Alternative gift for wedding or special occasion
Why give stuff when you can give the gift of environmental action with a donation to The Green Institute? Contact us and we can arrange an acknowledgement card for your holiday, wedding, birthday or other special occasion gift. Call us at (612) 278-7122.
On-line contribution
If you are considering replacing your cabinets, remodeling or completely taking down a house, consider donating the quality reusable building materials to our ReUse Center. We accept donations from businesses and individuals. All donations are tax-deductible. Please call us at (612) 724-2608 before you bring items in, or call to discuss our Pick-Up Services and/or our DeConstruction Services for materials removal. Our preferred drop-off hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11-3pm. Examples of the type of donations we take are:
- Cabinets
- Doors
- Architecturally significant trim, millwork, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, tables, etc.
- Antique hardware, light fixtures, or antiques
- Surplus (new) building materials, especially in quantity
- Leaded glass or stained glass
- Windows
- Large quantities of tile, marble, or stone
Volunteer
Volunteering your time is perhaps the most rewarding way of becoming engaged with The Green Institute and is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded people living in your community. In the past, volunteers have participated in community gardening, green roof installation, building materials research, marketing, database work, as well as in the development of educational materials. Donate Through your Workplace Giving Program
Support The Green Institute through the Minnesota Environmental Fund, a coalition of 20 environmental organizations offering workplace giving as an option to make our state a better place to live. Options include giving a designated amount through your payroll deduction or a single gift.
